- MacOS installation instructions (unidentified developer)
Apple goes to great lengths to protect users from malware and spyware, which is quite desirable. However, their “brute-force” way in which they do that prevents applications created by unidentified developers from being installed, by default. The VersaCoin™ application downloaded from the project’s GitHub repository is safe so be sure to always retrieve them from that source.
Below are very simple instructions on how to allow your MacOS device to install VersaCoin. Here is the link for these instructions as well as two other methods
Control-Click Method
- Open the Finder on your Mac.
- Locate the app you want to open. You’ll find it either in the Applications folder or the Downloads folder.
- Control-click the app icon to open the shortcut menu.
- From the available options, click on Open.
That’s it. The app will now be opened while also creating an exception in the security settings to open normally by double-clicking the app.
